What We Do

Securing a Sustainable Future through Natural Gas Distribution System (NGDS)​.

Gas Malaysia Distribution Sdn. Bhd. (GMD), holds a distribution license from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), enabling us to develop, own, operate and maintain the NGDS for the secure and dependable delivery of gas to consumers.

GMD is committed to expanding its Natural Gas Distribution System (NGDS) to meet the growing demand for natural gas and support Malaysia’s energy transition goals. We plan to significantly expand the NGDS network to 4,000 kilometers by 2030.

To further demonstrate GMD’s commitment to achieving its 2030 target, GMD commenced the construction of over 60 kilometers of the NGDS network in November 2023. This project aims to provide natural gas to Proton City and foster socio-economic growth in Tanjung Malim, positioning it as Malaysia’s Automotive High-Tech Valley.
During the next Regulatory Period (RP3), GMD has also committed to expanding into strategic locations, including:
