Submission of Access Application

Shippers are required to fill out the Access Application form found on the Gas Malaysia Distribution (GMD) website and email it to capacity@gasmalaysia.com.​

Processing of Access Application (Approval/Rejection)

within 7 business days

Shippers must submit a complete Access Application form with all supporting documents. GMD will send an acknowledgement email and evaluate the application within 7 business days before a notice of approval or rejection is communicated via email.​

Reserved Firm Capacity Application (RFCA)

Shippers with approved access may apply to GMD for RFC by completing and submitting application form published on GMD’s website.

Processing of Reserved Firm Capacity (Approval/Rejection)

Long-Term Reserved Firm Capacity Application

Within 30 days

Short-Term Reserved Firm Capacity Application

Within 14 days

GMD shall approve or reject:

For a Long-Term RFCA:

No later than 30 days after submission by Shipper

For a Short-Term RFCA:

No later than 14 days after submission by Shipper

Revision to the Access Arrangement for Natural Gas Distribution System (“AA NGDS”)

Gas Malaysia Distribution Sdn. Bhd. (“GMD”) wishes to inform all stakeholders that the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) has approved revisions to the Access Arrangement for Natural Gas Distribution System (AA NGDS) document on 27 February 2026.

The approved revisions relate to the following:

1. Short-Term Reserved Firm Capacity – Effective 1 August 2026

2. Revised Unauthorised Capacity Overrun Charges – Effective 1 September 2026

3. Quantity Allocation Mechanism – Effective 1 October 2026

ANNOUNCEMENT ON DISTRIBUTION TARIFF FOR GAS MALAYSIA DISTRIBUTION SDN. BHD. IN PENINSULAR MALAYSIA

Gas Malaysia Distribution (“GMD”) wishes to inform that under the Incentive-Based Regulation (“IBR”) framework, the Base Average Tariff for users of the Natural Gas Distribution System, has been set at [RM1.880/GJ/day]. The Base Average Tariff will be implemented for Regulatory Period 3 (“RP3”), covering period from 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2028.

In addition, GMD’s Distribution Tariff under the IBR framework for all types of utilisation is [RM2.114/GJ/day] for the period from 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026 after incorporating annual IBR tariff adjustment.
