Revision to the Access Arrangement for Natural Gas Distribution System

Gas Malaysia Distribution Sdn. Bhd. (“GMD”) wishes to inform all Shippers that the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) has approved revisions to the Access Arrangement for Natural Gas Distribution System (AA NGDS) document on 27 February 2026, comprising the following changes:

  1. Short-Term Reserved Firm Capacity
    Effective 1 August 2026

    • New provisions and definitions relating to Short-Term Reserved Firm Capacity.
    • Shippers may now request Reserved Firm Capacity for a reservation period ranging from one (1) month to eleven (11) months.
    • The following tariff multipliers shall apply:
    • 1.3 × Distribution Tariff for reservation periods of five (5) to eleven (11) months.
    • 1.5 × Distribution Tariff for reservation periods of one (1) to four (4) months.
  2. Revised Unauthorised Capacity Overrun Charges
    Effective 1 September 2026
    The calculation methodology for the Unauthorised Capacity Overrun Amount has been revised to apply a threshold based on Capacity instead of Nomination.
  3. Quantity Allocation Mechanism
    Effective 1 October 2026
    Shippers’ Entry Quantities have been revised as part of the enhancement to the Quantity Allocation Mechanism.
