Section 30 (8)

No person shall, without the lawful authority of the licensee, undertake any work or engage in any activity in the vicinity of any gas pipeline or piping system or part thereof in a manner likely to interfere with such pipeline or piping system or part thereof or to cause danger to any person or property unless the licensee has taken all reasonable steps to give proper notice on the existence of any pipeline or piping system or part thereof and measures as prescribed by the Commission for the protection of such pipeline or piping system or part thereof.

 

Section 30 (9)

Any person who contravenes subsection (8) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both, and shall also be liable to pay compensation for the loss incurred for the amount of which to be fixed by the court under section 30D.
